In the research area “Biodiversity and People” there is an immediate vacancy for an
Intern or Master’s Thesis Student (m/f/d) (40 h/week)
with interest in social-ecological statistical analysis and to be filled earliest from June 15, 2021.
The scope of duties includes analytical support in ongoing research work in the project MORE STEP – Mobility at risk: Sustaining the Mongolian Steppe Ecosystem on the topic of pasture use and traditional ecological knowledge. In particular, it includes:
- Supporting MORE STEP through statistical analysis of survey data
- Collaborate with MORE STEP partners in Mongolia
- Support project management by reporting on results of statistical analysis
You are currently at the end of your bachelor’s degree or at the end of your master’s degree and are proficient in the use of statistical software such as SPSS or R. You are interested to get to know scientific work processes in a transdisciplinary work environment and you enjoy developing and researching new topics and summarizing scientific findings in writing. Knowledge of Mongolian language is of ad-vantage, but not mandatory.
