David is a research scientist at ISOE since 2020, specialising in social-ecological conflicts and water infrastructure. As a PhD candidate in the junior research group regulate, he investigates how long-distance water transfers shape groundwater conflicts in Germany and Spain. After obtaining his B.A. in Political Science at Free University of Berlin (Germany), David completed the interdisciplinary M.Sc. programme Sustainable Development at Utrecht University (Netherlands). In his work, David combines approaches from political ecology, conflict studies and more-than-human geographies. He is an affiliated researcher at the Governance and Sustainability Lab, Faculty of Spatial and Environmental Sciences, Trier University (Germany).
