Vanessa Aufenanger has been Science Coordinator at ISOE since 2012. In this role, she coordinates strategic processes and projects in the areas of institute and organisational development, scientific quality assurance and the institute's committees.
Previously, she was the environmental coordinator at the University of Kassel, where she was responsible for the development of the environmental profile in research and teaching. Vanessa Aufenanger studied Political Science and English Studies at the Universities of Magdeburg and Nottingham. She completed her PhD at the University of Magdeburg with a thesis on “Challenges of a common climate policy: an analysis of the development of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme”.
