Analysis of the Program "Bremer modernisieren"
ISOE was commissioned by Bremer Energie-Konsens GmbH to evaluate the "Bremer modernisieren" (Bremer modernise) funding initiative on energy-efficient building renovation.
Research approach
The object of the survey was to gain insights into the quality of the consultancy, its acceptance by private property owners and the impact of the initiative. Building proprietors who had sought advice about the funding programme were interviewed by phone. Scientists took this opportunity to ascertain their satisfaction with the service. They also collected data on the implementation of the measures recommended and the investment involved.
Background
The funding for energy consulting was intended to act as an impetus for modernisation. In the spring of 2006, Bremer Energie-Konsens GmbH set up the funding programme "Bremer Gebäudeenergieberatung" (Bremen advisory service for building energy), which gave property owners the chance to obtain on-site advice from an energy consultant.
