Evaluation of the Campaign "Gut beraten starten"
ISOE evaluated the "Gut beraten starten" campaign for energy-efficient refurbishment.
Research approach
ISOE used a social-scientific acceptance and impact analysis to evaluate the campaign for energy-efficient refurbishment. This produced findings on the motivation and social situation of home-owners who had received consultation. Moreover, the project team analysed whether these households were satisfied with the advice they were given, what steps they had taken afterwards, and what sums they had invested. To do this, scientists conducted a representative survey of 185 households.
Background
The climate protection agency Region Hannover GmbH along with proKlima, the "Enercity Fund", launched the "Gut beraten starten" campaign in 2004 to promote energy-efficient refurbishment. The campaign offers house owners competent, independent and free initial advice on energy-efficient modernisation.
