Transdisciplinary Methods and Concepts
Transdisciplinary research poses challenges for researchers and other knowledge holders alike. Theoretical framing, basic methodologies, and established approaches are put into a new context, which makes interdisciplinary integration a key task. ISOE develops scientific and practice-related foundations for transdisciplinary research and examines how research and cognitive processes change when applied to problems in the context of sustainable development. Furthermore, we develop theoretical, conceptual and methodological principles that facilitate at the same time high-quality science and social impact within transdisciplinary research processes.
