Master of Environmental Sciences

At Frankfurt University, ISOE is involved in the interdisciplinary master's programme “Environmental Sciences (Master of Science)”. It offers a continuative education in environmental sciences. What makes it so special is the way it combines aspects of social sciences and transdisciplinarity. Topics such as consumption or sustainable development are integrated via a transdisciplinary approach.

Within the master's programme, ISOE offers the main subject “Social Ecology”. It includes themes such as social-scientific environmental research, structural aspects of environmental problems, social-ecological analyses of specific case studies and an introducing lecture in Social Ecology.

The master's programme is a joint project involving four different university departments: Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmaceutics, Biology, Geography and Social Sciences together with ISOE.
