The team of the JET-SET group project evaluated the practice of emissions trading from a socio-ecological perspective and made recommendations for its further development.
Research approach
ISOE took part in the JET-SET group project with a supplementary module, "Gender Impacts of Climate Protection and ETS". Attention was focused on which gender-specific impacts are to be expected from market-based instruments for climate protection, and how these differences may be interpreted.
The gender analysis took place in several stages that, in technical terms, adhered closely to the procedure for a gender impact assessment (GIA). In an exploration of the gender aspects relevant to the questions under review in the project, ISOE also examined aspects of
(inter-)national climate policy.
