The territorial power of appearing and disappearing groundwater conflicts

Publication Info

Hydrogeological and power relations keep groundwater conflicts latent. Conflicts turning manifest require powerful shifts within hydrosocial territories. This paper reveals how humans and other-than-humans influence conflicts’ trajectories. Groundwater and long-distance water transfers can trigger, demobilise or shift conflicts. Solved conflicts can appear again in the future and somewhere else.
