Fany Ramos Quispe joined the ISOE in 2026 as a PhD candidate and research associate. She studied Environmental Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Mexico (BS), Environmental Change and International Development at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom (MSc), and Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability (Major: Ecological Economics) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain (MSc).
Her areas of work span environmental change, transdisciplinary science, science diplomacy, science-policy, international research collaborations, and political ecology. In her doctoral project, she investigates how science funding systems can transform to enable wider and truly transdisciplinary co-creation of knowledge for sustainability.
