Miriam Schad has been a research scientist at ISOE since 2025. Previously, she worked at the Department of Social Sciences (Sociology with a focus on social inequalities) at the TU  Dortmund University, where she focused in particular on aspects and interrelationships of social structure, social cohesion and socio-ecological transformation. During her time at the Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen (research field ‘climateculture’), she worked on various projects in the field of social science sustainability research. Miriam Schad studied sociology and economics at Philipps University Marburg and earned her doctorate at TU Dortmund University with a thesis on environmental awareness in precarious lives.
